who do I hand tonight's on-call shift to?
🤖 I'm the centre's AI assistant (not a person). Type HUMANO if you'd rather talk to the team. 🔒 Your data is handled by the centre. Type PRIVACIDAD to see how. This week the night shift is covered by Nuria, 21:00 to 8:00. Swaps go on the sheet at reception. 🙂
the air con in the cat ward isn't cooling
Sorry 👍 Shall I send it to the air-con technician with a photo of the thermostat?
yes, it says 27 degrees
✅ Done. Air conditioning has it — logged as #412. I'll let you know as soon as they take it.
The nurse types “cat ward air con not cooling” to the hospital number and the air-con technician has it on their phone, with buttons and a cut-off time. Miss it, and management knows. Neither owner nor animal appears in the message.
Staff leave consults to ask, and management chases the air-con technician by phone.
One fault can cost up to 4 calls to management.
Whoever reports does it once, with a photo if needed, and follows the fault from their WhatsApp.
Metrics management sees
Who wins
TodayThe nurse sees a kennel door won't close, tells reception, reception tells management, and the next day nobody knows whether anyone came.
TodayManagement keeps the numbers of the air-con firm, the electrician, the X-ray service, the doors company and the gas supplier, and phones each one.
TodayNobody knows which supplier takes longest to come, or that the ward air con has already failed three times this year.
Staff write to the practice number and each supplier gets it on theirs. Nobody installs anything.
On-call, waste, kennel bedding: answered from what you have written down. Anything else, to a person.
A power cut in theatre at two in the morning rings the on-call phone. The grooming-room bulb waits for the morning.
Reminders halfway and near the end. If it lapses unclosed, it goes up; urgent ones ring every day.
The day's summary reaches the practice's inbox. Reports go to Excel with three times: reported, taken, fixed.
The dashboard shows how long each report takes to be taken and fixed. That is what you negotiate a contract with.

tickets closed, and the Excel row says how long each one took
ValenciaResidencia Universitaria Anunciata Tickets opened on WhatsApp by the residents of a student residence in Spain where Bedel works, from 1 September to 19 October 2026. It does not count the ones the centre's own team opens. The alert is measured from the moment the message arrives to the first alert to the person responsible; "taken", until someone accepts it. It is the same ticket engine that gets set up on your premises: these figures are that residence's.
What you will be asked about, already solved.

For veterinary clinics and hospitals, and for groups that run many
Saturday, 7:40. The cat ward is at 27 degrees with three patients just out of surgery. Before: an unanswered call to management, the air-con firm's number on a note by the vaccine fridge, a voicemail. Now the nurse sends “the air con in the cat ward isn't cooling” with a photo of the thermostat to the hospital number. The technician's phone buzzes with two buttons and four hours to accept; if not, management hears. Once it's fixed, the ward reads it in the same chat.
What it's for. Getting every broken thing in the hospital to its supplier and closed. What it's not for: appointments, clinical records, vaccinations, pharmacy or billing stay in your veterinary software (Qvet, Provet or whichever), which Bedel does not connect to. No owners or patients appear in a report, and only registered staff write in.
A veterinary practice rarely has its own maintenance staff. It has a supplier for each thing and management who also consult or operate.
Everything any premises has, plus equipment working day and night with animals inside.
The report doesn't go to a group: it rings on the phone of the supplier for its category, as you set it up for the practice.
This isn't legal advice: it is what we read in Spain's official gazette (BOE), for your adviser to check. None of these rules requires a fault report on WhatsApp.
Nothing is installed. In one session the practice's WhatsApp is set up with the following.
Yes, practice by practice: each clinic or hospital is an account, with its own WhatsApp number, suppliers and Excel file with the same columns. Today there is no view bringing all of a group's practices together; what it gives is the same routing and the same data in each one.
No. Each supplier gets the report on their WhatsApp with buttons to accept it, ask for details, reassign it or close it with a photo. No account and no app.
It doesn't have to: the report carries the place and the fault, and staff are the ones reporting. If someone wrote one by mistake, Bedel does not promise to detect it; that is why the rule is set in writing on day one.
Whatever you marked as urgent (theatre lights, gases, ward air con) rings whoever is on call and the right supplier, at night too. What can wait goes to the morning shift.
No. Qvet, Provet or whatever you use carries on, and Bedel can't see its data; what comes out of Bedel is a sheet with every fault and its times.
It is not a CMMS and keeps no certificates: the inspections and certificates of that equipment stay with its service company and in your files. What it handles is the fault, from when staff see it until the supplier closes it, and it can remind you every month of the dated inspections you keep in a spreadsheet. More in CMMS on WhatsApp.
