The WhatsApp of your gym, your club, your studio, your gym floor, answered.

Tuesday, 19:12. The seven o'clock class comes out and the instructor mentions, in passing, that treadmill 4 stops dead. The front desk notes it on a piece of paper; the engineer, who's in tomorrow, never hears about it. On Thursday a member asks why it still has the "out of order" sign and nobody can say since when. With Bedel, the instructor writes to the club's WhatsApp with a photo: the ticket reaches the phone of whoever looks after cardio and goes into the Excel with its three times.

Where it starts and stops. It's the channel a gym's team uses to say what's broken, and the system that chases it until it's fixed. It doesn't replace your membership software: no fees, no turnstiles, no class bookings.

The fault is spotted by whoever walks past: a member, an instructor, whoever cleans the changing room. Each of them tells whoever is nearest, and that's where the trail goes cold.

• A member mentions it at the desk, out loud, and the front desk jots it down wherever it can.
• The instructor posts it in the club's group chat and, among forty other messages, it's lost.
• The management software knows about memberships, not faults, which end up in a separate spreadsheet or nowhere at all.

Hardly anything is serious. What's expensive is how long it lasts: a machine out of action and nobody sure since when.

• Cardio: the treadmill or the bike with an "out of order" sign for weeks, because nobody knew whose turn it was to call the engineer.
• Changing rooms: showers with no hot water, lockers that won't lock, a slow drain. It's what people talk about most and what gets written down least.
• Air conditioning: a class at 28°C won't wait until Monday.
• Turnstiles and card readers: that's IT, not maintenance, and the report needs to reach a different phone.

Whether it's a three-person studio or a club with fifteen staff, every report ends up on a named phone, following the split you agree at the start.

• Cardio and strength machines go to the engineer who looks after them; if that's a contractor, they work from their own WhatsApp with the same buttons as everyone else.
• Each ticket carries a deadline set by its category. Halfway through and near the end its owner gets a nudge; once it runs out, it climbs one level, and if it was urgent it rings again every day until it's closed.
• Outside opening hours, urgent things ring on the on-call phone and everything else waits, saved, for whoever starts work next. Sparks, smoke or someone injured alert the team at once.

A dated ticket doesn't replace any obligation, but it does show that something was done. This isn't legal advice: it's the list to take to the club's adviser. The laws below are Spanish; what applies to your premises depends on the country, and your adviser confirms it.

• In Spain, Law 31/1995 on the Prevention of Occupational Risks, art. 29.2.4: anyone working at the club tells their superior immediately about anything that, in their judgement, puts workers' safety and health at risk. A ticket sent from a phone gives that warning a date.
• In Spain, Royal Decree 1215/1997, art. 3.5: the employer keeps work equipment, through suitable maintenance, in the condition the rule demands. It covers the equipment the staff themselves use.
• In Spain, Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007 on consumers and users, art. 11.1: goods and services placed on the market must be safe. A machine taped off at 19:12, with the time it was repaired, shows what the club did.
• In Spain, Royal Decree 742/2013 on swimming pools: only if there's a pool open to the public. The owner records self-checks and incidents with their corrective measures (art. 4.3) and keeps a protocol that includes maintenance (art. 11.5). Bedel doesn't test the water: it keeps the report and its time.
• In Spain, opening licences, qualified staff, capacity limits or the defibrillator depend on each autonomous community and town council; elsewhere, on your own local rules. They aren't summarised here.

One session with whoever runs the club and whoever looks after maintenance. The team installs nothing.

• The split: who looks after cardio, changing rooms, IT and cleaning, and who answers on a Sunday.
• The club's own words — "cardio", "strength", "changing rooms", "access" — each with its deadline, and what counts as urgent with the gym floor full.
• The number, which can be the one the club already uses. Bedel doesn't ask for documents, cards or account details in the chat, as WhatsApp Business's messaging rules require.
• Privacy: the team's name, role and mobile number, kept in the European Union, with a processing agreement and art. 28 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, the EU's GDPR; more on GDPR.

• Members, fees, class bookings, turnstiles and doors: they stay in the club's software, which Bedel doesn't connect to.
• Members don't open tickets on their own; the people on the club's list do. If a member tells the front desk, the front desk writes it in.
• Health data, ID documents or payment details: they're neither requested nor stored through the chat.
• Each account is one site, and setting up always starts with a call.
