Reglamento de régimen interno (house rules)
The reglamento de régimen interno is the house rules of a colegio mayor or a residence: who governs it, how one gets in, each resident's rights and duties, its timetables and services, and how breaches are dealt with. If the centre depends on a university, it must fit that university's community-life rules.

What sets it apart
In a colegio mayor (a Spanish hall of residence with a formative programme) it is not an optional document. Decree 2780/1973 requires it to accompany the application for recognition, with minimum content that includes the governing bodies, the bodies through which colegiales take part, and their admission and disciplinary rules (art. 5.b), and whoever chooses the college adheres to it (art. 18.3). The Statute of the University Student leaves it to each university's statutes to provide for the internal rules of the colleges and residences it founds itself (art. 66.5).
Worth knowing
Many house rules still cite a repealed regulation. The 1954 Academic Discipline Regulation, from which quite a few colegio mayor texts descend, was expressly repealed by Ley 3/2022, in force since 26 February 2022. House rules that base their sanctions on it will not uphold them if someone challenges them. What to review, point by point, is in the guide on community-life rules.
What the house rules set on their own —timetables, visits, use of rooms, the dining hall— lives alongside what they cannot contradict: the community-life rules that the university approved as required by Ley 3/2022, with their scheme of breaches and sanctions. A colegial is bound by both at once.
