Embedded Signup
Embedded Signup is Meta's onboarding flow that a provider places on its website so a business can connect WhatsApp to its service from a single window: it logs in, chooses or creates its business portfolio and WhatsApp account, verifies the number and enters the display name.

How it works
The provider, a Solution Partner or a Tech Provider, puts a button on its website; clicking it opens a Meta window. Inside, the business identifies itself with its Facebook or Meta credentials, accepts the terms of service, grants access to the provider's app, chooses or creates its business portfolio and WhatsApp account, enters and verifies the number and types the name that will be shown instead of the number. At the end, the provider receives the IDs and a code that it exchanges for a token to work with that account.
Under the 2026 account model, the flow links the number to a WhatsApp account and creates a Messaging account of its own for that provider, with its templates and billing: what used to be a single WABA. If the provider is not a Solution Partner and does not work with one, the business has to add a payment method before sending its first message. And onboarding can keep a number that is already on the WhatsApp Business app: that is coexistence.
Worth knowing
What people take for granted: that onboarding is the provider's paperwork and whatever is created ends up in its name. The business does it itself with its own Facebook or Meta account, accepts the terms itself, and Meta says it owns all of its WhatsApp assets and has full access to WhatsApp Manager, which the provider cannot restrict. It is best done by someone with admin access to the residence's business portfolio.
