Parcels
Parcel handling in a residence is receiving and holding the deliveries that arrive for residents (parcels, letters, courier items, food deliveries) until each person collects them. It means recording what has arrived, telling the person it is for and keeping a record of the handover.

How it is used in a residence
With online shopping, parcels weigh on reception and the porters' lodge, especially in September and during the sales. The flow is always the same: the courier arrives, someone signs, who it is for gets written down, the person is told and the parcel is stored. What fails is the notice: a sign on the noticeboard, a message nobody reads or a list someone has to go through by hand every afternoon. And every parcel left on the shelf for weeks is space that is not freed up and one more question at the desk.
On WhatsApp the notice has a catch: the parcel arrives when it arrives, and to write to someone who has not written in the last day you need an approved message template, because their 24-hour window is usually closed. How Bedel handles it: parcels.
Worth knowing
What people take for granted: that marking a parcel as collected settles the matter. If the wrong one is marked, the resident is left without her parcel and nobody looks for it. It helps if she can say "I haven't collected it" and that reaches reception.

- 24-hour windowThe 24-hour window, or customer service window, is the period that opens every time someone messages a WhatsApp Business Platform number: for 24 hours from their last message you can reply freely; once it closes, you can only write to them with an approved template.
- Message templateA WhatsApp message template is a message with a fixed format and variable placeholders (a name, a time) that is registered and reviewed by Meta before use. It is the only thing that can be sent outside the 24-hour window, and each one belongs to a category: utility, marketing or authentication.
